The saffron guide
How to Choose Saffron: A Practical Buying Checklist
Begin with the dish you plan to cook, then compare what the seller actually offers: format, net weight, current price, label information and evidence for any specific claims. This checklist helps organise that decision without pretending a photograph or kitchen experiment can certify a product.

Identify exactly what is being sold
Check whether the listing is for threads, a ground product or a blend, and read the ingredient information. A recipe asking for a counted number of threads gives you a different measuring task from one specifying a quantity of ground spice. Choose a format you can use with the instructions you intend to follow.
Keep the product name separate from the evidence behind it. Ask what information supports an origin, grade or testing statement rather than treating the wording of a title as proof. This checklist does not certify our catalogue or any other seller's goods, and it supplies no laboratory findings.
Read net weight and price together
Compare the selling price with the amount in the pack, not just with the photograph or the size of the container. Our saffron product currently offers 1g, 2g and 5g choices; its product page is the place to check the current price and availability for each option.
A smaller purchase can suit an occasional dish, while a kitchen that uses saffron more often may prefer a different amount. Plan that decision around actual recipes and the pack's storage instructions. A per-pack or per-gram comparison helps describe an offer; it is not a measurement of authenticity or flavour.
Check information you can keep and verify
Look for a clear net weight, ingredient description, supplier identification, storage directions and date information. Keep the label with the product. If the listing leaves an important question unanswered, ask before ordering rather than guessing from a lifestyle image.
For a specific certificate or test claim, ask which product or batch it applies to and how the document can be verified. A general story about saffron, a regional name or an unrelated certificate does not establish every claim about the particular pack in your basket. Do not infer GI or grade status from this guide.

Treat home checks as limited observations
You can observe how threads behave when preparing a recipe. That observation is part of cooking; this checklist does not treat the colour of an infusion, a photograph, a taste description or one kitchen test as conclusive proof of purity, origin, grade or certification.
Finish the buying decision with the practical terms of the actual offer: pack choice, current availability, delivery information and the seller's contact and policy details. Our existing product page owns the purchase step. Use this guide for the questions to ask, then check the specific listing and pack for the answers.
