Common questions
Is the result cooked or uncooked rice?
All quantities are uncooked, dry rice. The tool does not estimate cooked weight because water absorption and cooking methods vary.
Why does it start at 75 g per person?
75 g is a reference serving used in Tesco’s basmati rice information. It is an editable starting point, not a universal rule. Adjust it for appetite, the other dishes and the recipe you are following.
Does it calculate biryani ingredients or water?
It calculates rice weight only. Use a suitable biryani or rice recipe for other ingredients, water, cookware and cooking method.
